This 9-week career readiness program is designed specifically for youth aged 15-25 in special education. Aligned with RTI tiers and PBIS frameworks, the course provides a structured path toward independent living through the lens of culinary school. Participants will learn the fundamentals of professional food preparation while developing essential social-emotional skills and workplace etiquette. The curriculum focuses on practical vocational skills to help students prepare for entry-level roles in the food industry, emphasizing safety, professionalism, and personal responsibility. This course incorporates principles of Response to Intervention (RTI) by offering tiered support, targeted interventions, and explicit strategy instruction to ensure all learners can progress towards vocational success.
